01

Storage

Store Safely: Keep scissors in protective packaging or a dry, safe place to prevent rust and damage. For extra protection, wrap them in a dry cloth, use a leather sheath, or store them in a secure, dry box.

Avoid Clutter: Do not store scissors with other tools or metal objects to prevent nicks and dulling.

02

Cleaning

After each use: After each use, wipe the blades clean with a soft, dry cloth to remove any debris or residue.

Regular maintenance: Apply a drop of light machine oil to the pivot screw every, inside the blades and cutting edge regularly to maintain smooth movement. Wipe away any excess oil to prevent it from transferring to your materials.

Handling

Handle With Care: Handle scissors with care and avoid dropping them, as this can cause nicks or misalignment. If damage occurs, contact us for repair and resetting.

Proper Use: Use scissors only for their intended purpose – e.g. fabric scissors should not be used for cutting paper or hard materials to prevent dulling the blades and affecting their performance.

Dishwasher Safety

Applicable Models: Only our stainless steel kitchen scissors – the Classic Kitchen Scissors and Lightweight Kitchen Scissors – are dishwasher safe. Other models should be cleaned using a dry cloth and light machine oil. Should your scissors get wet, dry them immediately and apply a small amount of oil all over the exposed metal of the scissors.

Sharpening

Professional Sharpening: To maintain precision, have your scissors professionally sharpened as regular use may dull the blades. Avoid using household sharpening tools unless experienced, as improper sharpening can cause irreversible damage.

DIY Precautions: Do not tamper with or adjust the screw, as it ensures proper alignment. Altering it may lead to misalignment, damage, or void your lifetime warranty.
