8 inch Black Sewing Shears
Our 8″ Black Sewing Shears are hot-forged sidebents using carbon steel and are world famous, and used by professionals due to their unrivalled quality and craftsmanship. Handmade by craftsmen using traditional techniques passed down for centuries, they offer precision cutting for all types of fabric used in sewing and tailoring.
Branded with our Wilkinson trademark, paying homage to Thomas Wilkinson & Sons whom we incorporated in 1875.
The term ‘sidebent’ refers to the shape of the scissor; the handle that is bent upright allows the shears to cut flat along a table, therefore not disturbing any fabric you are cutting, allowing you to cut easily in a straight and accurate line. They are world famous and used by professionals due to their unrivalled quality and craftsmanship. They offer precision cutting for all types of fabric used in sewing.
A slightly smaller size, perfect for those with small to medium sized hands or who struggle to lift heavy scissors, they provide the same precise cutting as a larger pair of shears.
Our Wilkinson Black range are fully Teflon-coated. Originally designed for industrial use, these are seriously heavy duty; they are non-stick so tape and adhesive won’t ruin the blades plus the Teflon coating provides an extra durable coating ensuring they are designed to last a lifetime.
They will arrive packaged in our signature William Whiteley gift box and are also available with bespoke laser engraving creating a truly special and unique gift.
